Description: The Business Analyst is responsible for understanding the business needs of clients and developing business and system requirements to address those needs as well as serving as a liaison.
Essential Functions also include:
- Manages the most complex projects or projects with the highest visibility
- Has the ability to serve as an analysis lead on a project, coordinating and driving analysis activities that may occur on one to many platforms
- Performs basic project management tasks when called upon to do so for small projects
- Works without supervision on highly complex projects
- Has extensive latitude for independent judgment
- May act as team lead, performing duties such as holding 1-on-1 team member meetings, troubleshooting project issues, prioritizing personnel requests, approving timecards, processing Help Desk user requests, and creating initial performance review drafts (BA Manager does final draft)

Requirements: To qualify, you must have the following requirements:
- Medical/Insurance expert knowledge
- BA/BS degree with 3-5 years of experience (experience may be substituted for education)
- Expert knowledge of the field
- Medical knowledge/experience
- There will be a need for travel; travel will be frequent initially
Preferred Qualifications:
- Development methodology/process experience (waterfall, agile, or others)
- Business use case and modeling development experience
- Use case model and specification development experience
- Requirements traceability experience
- Client/Server and N-Tier development project experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Visio (or similar tool), Access, and SQL Enterprise
- Requisite Pro, Compuware, or similar requirements management tool experience
- Relational database knowledge
- CBAP (Certified Business Analyst Professional), PMP (Project Management Professional) or related certification
- AHIP (America's Health Insurance Plans association) or related industry certification

- Requires prolonged sitting and telephone usage
- Requires the use of office equipment such as computer terminals, telephones, or copiers
