| Description: Our client is looking for a Senior Mainframe Engineer to function as a subject matter expert on their Mainframe Media team. The candidate will lead the design, test, and implementation of storage-based solutions for the DASD, Tape, and Virtual Tape environments as needed to address projects. Project deliverables will include technical architecture, solution testing, analysis, and implementation. This person will provide additional expertise to the in-house mainframe storage provisioning team, expand their capacity to do projects, and cross-train them on all technical aspects of all new project processes. This engineer will also share in the team's daily work, therefore must have strong current experience in mainframe storage provisioning and operations (both tape and disk).

| Requirements: The primary skills required are Remote Replication, Operational Scripting, and Data Replication for mainframe disaster recovery, with prior IBM, EMC, and HDS mainframe experience. The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in architecting and implementing projects such as data replication (using storage arrays IBM, EMC, HDS, and/or SUN-STK) for mainframe disaster recovery, with remote DR sites). The candidate must have experience with remote replication software and operational scripting. Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills are key.
