Description: Our client is seeking a HIM Director in Northwest Arizona with monetary package provided for out-of-town Applicants enthused and willing to relocate to their area permanently. This is a working director position and will need to know how to code Inpatient (IP) and Outpatient (OP) charts.
Including:
- Understanding of Coding, ROI and medical transcription
- Proficient at ICD-9 Coding
- Privacy Officer experience is preferred
- Extensive experience communicating with medical staff to include RNs and MDs
- Good track record of managing budgets and finishing projects on time and under budget

Requirements: Preferred Qualifications:
- BA Degree, but will review candidates with an AA Degree
- JCAHO Survey preparedness and reporting
- Physician education / documentation experience
- Policy and Procedure Development experience
Technical Skills:
- IP and OP Coding
- Electronic Medical Record Systems experience
Cultural/Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Capable to gain rapport with HIM Staff, Administration, and clinical staff (MDs and RNs)
Specific Requirements:
- RHIT or RHIA Certification
- Member of AHIMA
- Strong leadership skills within Health Information Management
- 5+ years of previous HIM Management / Director experience within an acute care facility
