Description: Kforce is seeking candidates in multiple areas for a prominent client that has a need for an HIM Director in Northwest Arizona. There is a relocation package being offered (based on distance). This is a working director position and the selected candidate will need to know how to code Inpatient (IP) and Outpatient (OP) charts.
Including:
- Understanding of Coding, ROI, and medical transcription
- Proficient at ICD-9 coding
- Privacy Officer experience is preferred
- Extensive experience communicating with medical staff to include RNs and MDs
- Good track record of managing budgets and finishing projects on time and under budget

Requirements: HIM Director Preferred Qualifications:
- BA Degree (we will also review candidates with AA Degree)
- JCAHO Survey preparedness and reporting
- Physician education / documentation experience
- Policy and procedure development experience
Technical Skills:
- IP and OP Coding
- Electronic Medical Record Systems experience
Cultural / Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Capable to gain rapport with HIM Staff, Administration, and clinical staff - MDs and RNs
Requirements:
- RHIT or RHIA Certification
- Member of AHIMA
- Strong leadership skills within Health Information Management
- 5+ years of previous HIM Management / Director experience within an acute care facility
