Description:  This role is responsible for creating and maintaining the Cache configuration, synchronization and maintenance of all application environments (test, training, production) for Epic applications. This person will perform server software installations and upgrades; monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot system environments; maintain appropriate version control, and administration of scripts for file manipulation and programming access to multiple environments; synchronization of data and programs across environments; and perform or assist in programming, interfacing, and data conversion activities. This position works closely with application Analysts, System Administrators, and Chronicle Programmers to complete assigned tasks.
Requirements:  Candidates must have strong group participation skills and the ability to work well with other team members to achieve results. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication and presentation skills working knowledge of desktop computer operating systems the ability to be proficient in MS Office 2000, Windows 2000, and XP (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are required. Knowledge of database structures, data definitions, and data relationships is required. Experience with UNIX, AIX, and CACHE / MUMPS is preferred. Candidates must have the demonstrated ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities; demonstrated conflict resolution skills and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and learn quickly with strong attention to detail. Five or more years of distributed computing environment experience focusing in configuration, integration, and management of complex applications; databases and operating systems are required. Candidates must have experience in enterprise application installation, upgrade, maintenance, database administration, version control and custom programming. Knowledge in all areas of system life cycle development; the ability to analyze, define, and resolve complex technical problems; and the ability to interpret extensive variety of technical instruction and deal with complex variables are required. Experience in enterprise database administration such as SQL or Oracle is required. Candidates must have experience with multi-dimensional data arrays. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability in scripting languages such as Perl, csh, bsh, ksh; demonstrated ability programming in C or other Object-Oriented language; and experience in data conversion and interfacing. Candidates must have demonstrated analytical skills to analyze complex tasks / systems / problems, determine possible solutions, and design, implement, and evaluate most effective solutions. Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed implementation and test plans is necessary.
