Description: Kforce Technology Staffing is conducting a search for a Sr. Systems Engineer with at least 5+ years of experience to work on the migration of a virtual server environment to Olathe.
The responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Defines network requirements
- Assesses system and network management requirements
- Develops enterprise wide technology infrastructure
- Develops and assesses migration specifications
- Assists architects by providing recommendation based on evaluation of current systems, network, security, controls and resources
- Provides senior level technical support
- Reviews existing systems, networks, and activities and makes technical recommendations for improvements
- Develops detailed implementation plans based on the architecture developed and supervises implementation

Requirements: The skills, experience, and education required for this position include the following:
- A Bachelor's or equivalent, MCSE, and 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Extensive experience with computing systems, hardware software, operation, security, and support issues
- Extensive experience supporting medium to large system implementations
- Ability to quickly assess system and network problems and recommend remedial actions
- Experience in developing system migration plans and managing migration activities
- Solid written and verbal skills and presentation skills
- 5 years of VMware
- 2 years of Windows
- 2 years of Linux
