| Description: Our client is looking for a Project Director who will be responsible for managing daily administration and performance with the project, including overseeing personnel, work plan, and budgetary issues. The director will be the lead project executive regarding interaction with medical staff and operational leadership and will be expected to proficiently communicate with all executives and Boards as well as Eclipsys executives. The director is expected to obtain and maintain expert knowledge about the CIS products and their potential impact on operations.
This person provides direction and leadership and decision-making to staff on all CIS related projects. This person meets regularly to review project activities, consultant performance and management strategies. This person assists with solving project-related, operational and technical problems as needed.
This position makes project assignments, monitors workloads and allocates resources to meet project requirements. This role frequently reassesses project scope to ensure projects are carried out according to established plan and budget; orients project and consultant management, evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions. This person monitors activity schedules, changes to schedules, their causes and budget impact; communicates project status and facilitates communication between all parties involved on the project including COH and Eclipsys executives; and provides primary project evaluation and project reporting. This person maintains professional growth and development and keeps abreast of latest trends in area of expertise, especially clinical information systems adoption and clinical decision support.

Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business or healthcare field is required. A Masters in Computer Science, Business, Health Administration (or Clinical specialty) is preferred. Five to eight years of project management experience in a dynamic, healthcare environment is required. Large information system project experience is strongly preferred. Eight or more years of proven experience managing multiple development projects is required. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to achieve deadlines while maintaining tact and respect for others is required. Candidates must have excellent organizational and communication skills. This person demonstrates the ability to work effectively with cross functional groups, manage multiple concurrent tasks, lead problem solving processes, and build team mentality.
