Description: The Quality Assurance Analyst evaluates and tests new and modified software programs to ensure programs functions according to user requirements. This person will analyze, troubleshoots, and identifies problems in the applications and communicates details to stakeholders and development teams. This person utilizes risk based test approaches to develop prioritize test plans and test cases; actively participates on sprint teams to assist in maturing user stories and requirements; and creates test data and helps manage the test environment to ensure proper system configuration and accurate test results. This person leverages tools and test automation in order to improve test consistency, test coverage and test velocity.
Essential Functions:
- Working with sprint team to determine test coverage
- Developing and executing test plans and test cases
- Identifying, documenting and verifying software defects
- Communicating test status to project teams and management
- Performing peer test case reviews
- Providing post-deployment support
- Working with outside vendors to develop integration test plans

Requirements: Experience & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience testing client server applications or related experience
- Experience testing nTier e-commerce website solutions
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity testing Java, .net, SQL, WSDL's, XML, SAML, SOAP, applications and APIs
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to read, understand, and debug database queries and stored procedures
- Experience developing or using test automation
- Experience working in the Financial Services industry is a plus
- Experience working as a business analyst is a plus
- Experience using SOAP-UI, SOAPclient, WebInject, SOAPtest, or other XML based web service testing tool(s) is a plus
