| Description: This person will be responsible for creating and maintaining Cache configuration, synchronization and maintenance of all application environments (test, training, production) for Epic applications. This person will perform server software installations and upgrades, monitor, analyze and troubleshoot system environments, maintain appropriate version control, administration of scripts for file manipulation and programming access to multiple environments; be involved in the synchronization of data and programs across environments; this person will perform or assist in programming, interfacing and data conversion activities. This position works closely with application analysts, system administrators, and Chronicles programmers to complete assigned tasks. Experience in enterprise application installation, upgrade, maintenance, database administration, version control, and custom programming is required.

Requirements: EPIC Cache DBA Consultant Qualifications:
- Five or more years of distributed computing environment experience focusing in configuration, integration, and management of complex applications, databases, and operating systems are required
- Working knowledge of desktop computer operating systems is required
- Candidates must be proficient in MS Office 2000, Windows 2000, and XP (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of database structures, data definitions, and data relationships is required
- Experience with UNIX, AIX, CACHE / MUMPS is preferred
- Candidates must have demonstrated the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
- Experience in enterprise database administration such as SQL or Oracle is required
- Experience with multi-dimensional data arrays; demonstrated ability in scripting languages such as Perl, csh, bsh, and ksh as well as demonstrated ability programming in C or other Object-Oriented language is required
- Experience in data conversion and interfacing
- Demonstrated analytical skills: analyze complex tasks, systems, and problems and determine possible solutions and design as well as implement and evaluate most effective solution
- Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed implementation and test plans
- Demonstrated ability to document systems processes and procedures
- Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members, the vendors, and the user community
- Strong group participation skills and the ability to work well with other team members to achieve results
