Description:  Be responsible for database set-up, configuration, data loading, administration, and performance tuning / optimization for the enterprise data warehouse. Design, develop, and deploys ETL (extract, transform, and load) jobs, sourcing information from key systems. Work as part of IT team on a wide variety of projects. Be responsible for database administration, configuration, supervising / monitoring, and troubleshooting. Perform preventive maintenance, improvements, and upgrades as well as performance tuning and other database system optimizations. Proactively monitor and manage the systems and make recommendations and improvements. Perform database system implementations and expansions including implementation and maintenance of databases in a cluster environment and geographically redundant replicated environment. Perform database back-ups using on-line and off-line methods. Provide second-level support. Generate reports and comply statistics on system usage. Update documentation and procedures for domains and systems. Perform migrations and re-design initiatives. Perform disaster recovery testing on a regular basis for all applicable systems. Keep abreast of IT industry trends and developments to help identify potential new technologies for the improvement of our client's systems infrastructure.
Requirements:  Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned. Database Administrator Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of work related experience is required
  • Minimum 5 years of information technology experience providing system administration and technical expertise for RDBMS systems based on Microsoft Windows, Linux/UNIX or AIX Server platforms
  • Minimum 5 years of set-up and configuration, performance tuning, administration, troubleshooting, and monitoring of large database environments on a major database system
  • Ability to be the primary point of contact for all data warehouse related activities and functions including database set-up, configuration, data loading, administration, and performance tuning / optimization
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and Lotus Notes
  • Some travel may be required
