| Description: This person brings an enterprise-wide perspective, a process orientation, and an understanding of the business and technology organizations that support or execute the company's business strategy. This role aligns IT and corporate goals and develops an enterprise architecture that meets overall business objectives and priorities through the effective use of information technology. The Application Architect is a change agent and key member of the enterprise architecture team and works collaboratively with other architecture domain experts, IT project teams and subject matter experts, and with business stakeholders. This person will develop a set of principles that establish strategic guidance and standards of practice that align with the business strategy, ensuring the principles are bought into and applied across the enterprise in a consistent and managed way; establish architectural standards, a process for maintaining standards, and a process of monitoring compliance across the enterprise; and serve as a technology advocate throughout the IT organization to promote the effective application of technology to meet business needs and to build sustained competitive advantage for the enterprise. This person will be serving as a technology advocate across the enterprise toward building the company's reputation as a leader in the application of information technologies. This person will form, maintain and strengthen relationships with key internal and external technology suppliers to prioritize, evaluate and accelerate the adoption of promising new technologies with high business value.

| Requirements: A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field is required. 10+ years of experience in developing architectural models that promote informed decision making is required. 2+ years of experience developing business-driven portal solutions using an enterprise-grade portal product; and 2+ years of experience implementing enterprise-wide knowledge management solutions is required. Strong oral and written communication skills, strong project management skills, and a demonstrated ability to understand and appropriately respond to customers' business needs is required. The demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for achieving results is required. This person will be applying standard enterprise architecture methodologies to develop and maintain the target state architecture. Working knowledge and experience in the industries, sectors and functional areas in which the company competes is required. Candidates must have a proven ability to integrate enterprise business applications and data sources utilizing a service-oriented architecture (SOA) and associated toolsets. A strong understanding of IT security concerns and solutions and the ability to apply business case development and project justification techniques to address information technology challenges is required. Candidates must have the demonstrated knowledge and experience with large corporate IT operations and/or major IT programs.
