Description: Working within the Interactive Marketing Group, the Web Programmer brings experience, precision, and an entrepreneurial spirit to the creation of applications, services, and Web experiences that sell investments and educate clients.
The Web Programmer will generally work on four or five one-to-two month projects a year, in addition to dedicated documentation, maintenance, professional education, and hacking time.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Web applications
- Work alone and in groups to define, design, and execute in all phases of Web applications including back-end, batch processes, and front-end
- Collaborate directly with project managers, designers, writers, and business experts
- Maintain and support existing systems with a focus on increasing reliability and data-source abstraction
- Expand the system to support a greater variety of delivery methods

Requirements: Web Development Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum four years of experience developing Perl applications, especially Object-Oriented code using CPAN and internally developed modules
- Experience with Linux, Apache, and MySQL
- Experience working within SVN or Git
- Interest in newer tools: Ruby, Python, Catalyst, Django, etc.
- Organized, able to track tasks, time, and long-term goals
- Willing to work with Agile and traditional project management
- Experience in scaling Web Services (a plus)
- Experience or interest in information design and programmatic charting (a plus)
- Open-Source contributions (a plus)
- Quality obsessed
- Able to switch easily between the wide-angle view and the details
