Description: The Enterprise Server Operations Engineer Level 3 position is a full-time position that is part of a larger enterprise server team group. This team is responsible for the management and monitoring of a large number of servers in all regions of the world. They are a managed services company that supports a large number of customers with servers in their data centers and on customer premises.
Job responsibilities will include:
Tier 3 escalation point for the Tier 1 and 2:
- Technical Point Person / Subject Matter Expert -Implementing new technology projects start to finish - Active Directory, Win2k8, VMWare, SAN/NAS, Exchange, Clustering, Network/Server Monitoring
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one area and primary or secondary contact for one or several enterprise managed applications (Exchange 2007, SQL, Windows 2008/2003 Active Directory, GPO, OU, Trust Domains, etc.)
- Provide Tier III escalation support of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, VMWare, Exchange, Linux, and other related projects and technologies as required
- Provide mentoring to Tier 2 Server Operations Engineers
Systems Architecture:
- Produce / review / update documentation for internal and customer projects
- Provide technical direction and vision to help the organization achieve its goals
- Understand and manage internal and external server resources
Project Management for Technical Upgrades and IT Projects:
- Technical Point person - Technical SME - Implementing new technology projects start to finish - Active Directory, VMWare, SAN/NAS, Exchange, Clustering, Network/Server Monitoring
- Define project scopes and implementation details
- Coordinate with internal staff and customers
- Maintain project deadlines
- Customer liaison
Processing new orders and turn-ups, this includes:
- Moves or changes for existing hosted customers
- New server builds

Requirements: Minimum Experience Knowledge Requirements:
- MCSE or 5+ years of experience in server administration. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL is a must. Knowledge of VMWare, SAN/NAS, Citrix, SharePoint, LINUX and UNIX is a plus. Knowledge of Scripting technologies is a plus (VBS, Powershell, etc.)
- Enterprise Data Center environments - 500-1000+ Server environments
- Windows 2008/2003 - Active Directory, GPO, OU, Cross Domain Trust Relationships
- VMWare ESX, Virtual Servers - highly virtualized environments
- Exchange Server 2007 Administration
- MS - SCOM Systems Center Operations Manager, MOM, SolarWinds
- Storage - SAN/NAS - EMC, HP EVA - fiber, SCSI
- Server Clustering - replication
- Must have taken lead on multiple infrastructure projects cradle to grave
