| Description: Business Systems Analysts study the overall business and information needs of an organization, in order to develop solutions to business and related technology problems. A Business Systems Analyst's role is usually undertaken prior to the system design, building and programming stages of the systems development process. This person works closely with clients to identify business needs and the costs and benefits of implementing a computing solution. This person will construct IT definitions based on identified needs of the organization; work with other IT experts to address networking and hardware needs; and devise and document a general system design based on the client's anticipated requirements. This person will negotiate options with the client.

Requirements: Requirements Include:
- Familiarity with the following concepts is a must
- Dimensional Modeling
- Data warehousing architecture, physical databases and performance tuning
- Excellent problem resolution and analysis skills
- Must be able to present complex data/concepts in a clear, understandable, and meaningful way for reporting to upper management
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, including effective meeting management; prepare and present (PowerPoint/Visio); documentation templates for various procedures when needed
- Good analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to work well as part of a team as well as be self-motivated
- Must be open to flexible work schedule to remain in-step with project and organizational needs
- This position may require travel up to 15%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare industry technology/standards and emergent technologies is preferred
- Familiarity with at least one major EMR/EHR vendor product, e.g. Epic
- Familiarity with InterSystems Cache DBMS is a plus
- Clinical Data Model
- Consulting experience is preferred
- Experience working in a matrix environment is preferred
