Description: Linux Kernel Engineer Responsibilities / Functions:
- Evaluate multi-media and networking technologies and components to meet product requirements
- Rapidly prototype new features to validate designs
- Design, specify, and document significant software modules
- Implement, debug, and test multi-media or networking oriented software modules and features
- Communicate key technical issues effectively (orally and in writing)

Requirements: Linux Kernel Engineer Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience creating consumer oriented, IP embedded products
- 3+ years of experience with Linux kernel, system utilities, and embedded Linux development
- 3+ years of familiarity with VoIP and audio / video multi-media technologies such as SIP and RTP
- 3+ years of familiarity with audio and video codecs
- 5+ years of experience with Internet protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, DHCP, UPnP, DNS, and SSH
- 5+ years of experience and high proficiency with C/C++
- Experience with scripting languages (desirable)
- 2+ years of experience with Web Services technologies (HTTP, LAMP, REST, AJAX, SOAP / XML, and XML / RPC)
- Successful record of taking projects from concept to completion
- Dedication to getting the details right
- Delivering an outstanding product in a timely fashion
- Bachelor's degree or better in Computer Science or related field
