Description:  We are looking for a 3 in 1 Technician (Microwave, Field, and Drive Testing). In this position you will be performing:
  • Quality Assurance Services - conduct site visits to ensure construction vendors are closely following the strict constructions standards for new site builds
  • Must use a compass and be familiar with telecommunications construction standards
  • Provide technical support with path control and maintain a microwave backhaul network
  • Install, cable, and program new equipment at site locations by maintaining proper cable management and loading configuration files into a power management system, servers, and other devices located with the cabinet
  • Commission new sites into the network by working with a remote team to test functionality and alarms
  • Drive test new sites and test for handovers, signal strength, and basic functionality
  • Assist with resolving customer related issues and possibly visit their location to ensure 100% satisfaction
  • Maintain network documentation with a very high level of accuracy
  • Respond to all NOC call-outs within a specified area and contact the appropriate field staff to resolve a system problem
  • Determine the cause of equipment failure using various types of complex test equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment assignments
  • Maintain a company vehicle and assigned equipment according to our client's technologies policies
  • Follow-up on all network related issues to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Be assigned to 24-hour "on call" duty to resolve any cell-related or customer issues
  • Implement, conduct, and coordinate the smooth operation, repair, maintenance and expansion of all systems in market
Requirements:  Field Technician Qualifications:
  • 3 plus years of experience in a Technician's role
  • Strong PC and IP troubleshooting skills
  • Previous experience in a customer support role (required)
  • Experience with wireless and data networking equipment (a plus)
  • Must have a valid Washington State Driver's License
  • 2 year Technical Degree (preferred)
