Description: We are seeking experienced Back-end Engineers to help build a bleeding-edge consumer Cloud Media platform. Our client's back-end team will be responsible for building and scaling out the back-end of a novel, multi-platform Cloud Media product. The successful candidate will be joining an established 'skunk-works' project which enjoys the strength and resources of an established organization coupled with the dynamics of a start-up.
Candidate Description:
- Utilize your passion for applying OO principles, design patterns, re-factorings, and common sense to build a quality, robust, and maintainable CodeBase
- Be an experienced practitioner of Agile methods including test automation, iterative delivery, and continuous integration
- Self-motivated problem solver with the ability to work collaboratively and constructively in a small, focused team
- Must love music; be familiar with the digital media / music landscape and a potential user of the product

Requirements: Database Development Skills / Qualifications:
- Be familiar with modern Web frameworks, architectures, and Cloud infrastructure including RoR, memcached, nginx, DTrace, PostgreSQL, Linux, and AWS
- Must be adept in one or more dynamic and static programming languages: Ruby, Python, Objective-C, C++, Java, etc.
- Expertise in metrics-driven performance analysis; debugging and addressing scaling bottlenecks and operations monitoring / automation
Minimum Education, Certification, and/or Training:
- BS-level software engineering background
Preferred:
- MS-level software engineering background
Minimum Experience:
- 5 years of development experience
Preferred:
- 10 years of development experience
