Description: As the Business Analyst, the candidate will be responsible for the following activities and tasks:
- Works closely with customers, vendors, business analysts, and application development project teams in order to understand data consumption needs, information flow, and content issues
- Helps document the current state and conduct Gap Analysis
- Provides required inputs to Solutions Design team to develop database and warehousing designs across multiple platforms and computing environments
- Collaborates with a team of Subject Matter Experts, vendors, Technical Project Managers, etc. to effectively deliver projects and initiatives
- Maintains the capability to work in large cross-functional teams
- Contributes to enterprise-wide strategic planning, technical governance for information exchange and harvesting
- Assists in managing tactical responses

Requirements: The minimum requirements to qualify for this position are as follows:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably with emphasis in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Engineering, Healthcare, or Medical Informatics
- At least 8 years of proven hands-on experience as Senior Data and Business Analyst with a strong background
- Strong experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence domains
- Understanding of Business Intelligence and Data Mining tools including SAS and Business Objects
- Relational Databases Oracle 10g/11g including ability to run ad hoc SQL queries for Data analysis
- Strong hands-on experience with documenting user inputs, analysis, and decision points
- Healthcare domain knowledge, especially on Care Delivery, is highly desired
- Excellent problem resolution and analysis skills
- Ability to present complex Data/concepts in a clear, understandable, and meaningful way for reporting to upper management
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, including effective meeting management; prepare and present (PowerPoint/Visio); documentation templates for various procedures when needed
- Good analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team as well as be self-motivated
- Must be open to flexible work schedule to remain in-step with project and organizational needs
- This position may require travel up to 15%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare industry technology/standards and emergent technologies
- Familiarity with at least one major EMR/EHR vendor product, e.g. Epic
- Familiarity with InterSystems Cache DBMS is a plus
- Consulting experience
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence and Data Mining tools like Business Objects, Cognos, and SAS
- Experience working in a matrix environment
