Title:  .Net/SharePoint Developer

Description:  The Web Apps Developer will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of web based solutions across the corporate customer base. The focus will be on sales and marketing solutions with smaller efforts associated with finance and human resources. This position is also responsible for day-to-day maintenance and providing support, on an as needed basis, for deployed web applications. The responsibilities of this position include the following:
  • Responsible for future strategy, providing technical leadership, design and deployment of both application and infrastructure components for SharePoint and custom ASP.Net environments across the enterprise
  • Provides analysis and documentation of requirements for development initiatives to meet business owner requests
  • Documents and resolves Tier 2+ production support items for applications in the custom .Net and SharePoint environments. Partners with teams to identify skills and/or resources required to solve problems and escalates, as necessary
  • Deployment of SharePoint Portals for the enterprise as well as manage enterprise content (ECM) and lead efforts to design and maintain a SharePoint environment and ECM/shared folder/public folder migration strategy with reviews and input from company stakeholders
  • Provide recommendations regarding emerging SharePoint and .Net technologies and their best use
  • Participate in, and/or manage activities related to, requirements gathering and analysis, planning, conceptual design/solution architecture of applications and interfaces. Will require interaction with clients across the enterprise to identify and understand needs and to determine the best way to address them
  • Responsible for driving development projects through to completion playing a direct role in software design, testing and deployment
  • Work with the governance committee and the infrastructure team to analyze and design solutions to meet customer needs, backup /recovery
Requirements:  The minimum education preferred to be considered for this position is:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or relevant education plus 3-5 years of experience and/or the combination of education and experience that enables performance in all aspects of the position
Specialized or technical knowledge, credentials or licensing required for the position include: Expected:
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in the analysis, design, implementation and support of large complex web applications in an enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated experience in SharePoint 2007/MOSS-both application and infrastructure components
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft .NET technologies such as ASP.net, SQL Server 2005/2008, XML, and Web Services
  • Proficiency with SharePoint 2007/WSS and MOSS technologies including custom Web part development, business data catalog development, custom field types, event development, site definitions and features
  • Microsoft Reporting Services 2005
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint 2007 installation, configuration and maintenance
  • Experience developing applications for MOSS 2007 including workflow and InfoPath Forms
  • Experience with enterprise database management systems
  • Proven information architecture skills specifically related to SharePoint 2007 data capabilities along with a thorough understanding of the inter-relationships among content types, shared columns, search, navigation, information management policies, governance and other data-related facets of an enterprise SharePoint implementation
Desired:
  • MCTS in all 4 MOSS exams and MCSD in .NET and preferably a MCDBA; or ability to pass exams at this level of proficiency
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex problems and propose practical solutions
Additional Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with large-scale applications in a leadership role
