Description: The Sales & Use Tax Analyst will be responsible for preparing and filing Sales & Use tax returns of varying degrees of complexity across all industries (Leasing, Aerospace & Defense, Retail & Industrial). The Analyst will also be responsible for tax decisions and determinations based on research, industry trends and changing tax laws. Decisions will impact customers, vendors and tax jurisdictions.
Responsibilities to Include:
- Prepare sales and use tax returns of varying degrees of complexity
- Ensure all tax liabilities are paid on time and correctly
- Assist with special projects as assigned by the Sales and Use Tax Lead
- Reconcile tax accounts in general ledger as required
- Provide audit support to minimize potential Sales and Use tax audit liabilities
- Support BU and vendor requests for exemption certificates and research taxability to ensure proper compliance
- Assist with the accurate and timely management of customer exemption certificates
- Maintain required Sarbanes Oxley documentation for the Sales and use tax process

Requirements: Education:
- Bachelor Degree in Finance and Accounting or equivalent experience. IPT CMI designation is preferred
Position Requirements:
4 - 6 years to include:
- Sales and Use Tax experience within a large International Company
- Sales and Use Tax consulting experience
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented and organized
- Demonstrated ability to utilize tax research software
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Taxsolver, SAP, ALFA, Lawson, AS400-JBA, Trans4M, Co-op, Taxware, Vertex, Stellent)
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to clearly write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
