Description: A growth oriented company in the Austin, TX area is looking for a Sr. Audio Applications Engineer. We are looking for candidates nationwide willing to relocate to the Austin, TX area. Once again, the position is in Austin, TX.
Responsibilities for this role include performing the following duties:
- Designs interface examples of how various audio products connected in a system
- Designs and debugs demonstration and evaluation boards
- Designs characterization test suite to do an automated validation test system
- Supports design, systems and test engineering in IC verification
- Provides technical assistance to customers, sales, marketing, and field application engineers
- Actively works with customers on design activities
- Develops internal and customer documentation including application notes and white papers
- Develops and delivers internal and customer training materials and demonstrations

Requirements: The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include:
- BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Strong knowledge on audio system design, testing, and measurement
- Strong knowledge on analog (amplifier, filter) and digital circuit analysis skills
- Strong knowledge on laboratory equipment and measurement techniques (spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, signal generator, DMM, logic analyzer, and network analyzer)
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and debug systems, circuits, and devices
- Knowledge on signal integrity, radiated emissions, EMC compliance, and ESD
- Schematic capture and PCB design skills (Cadence or Mentor Graphics)
- Familiarity with circuit-level simulation tools (Spice and Matlab)
- Knowledge of software programming tools (C, LabView, and TCL)
- General soldering skills and rework tools
- Technical documentation authoring and editing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office or equivalent
