Description: The primary responsibility to lead the design and implementation of a complex internal ERP application and related business applications. This application is Perl-based on Service oriented architecture and is web based application that runs our business from start to finish.
We are looking for a talented Senior level Engineer with a can-do, pragmatic approach to software development. This individual will have strong analytical and conceptualization skills and extensive knowledge of Perl, mod_perl, and MySQL on a Linux platform. In addition, the ideal candidate will have thorough understanding of object-oriented programming practices.
Responsibilities:
- Code and test backend systems in Perl under an object oriented architecture for deployment in a highly distributed environment
- Stay abreast of new technologies and effectively apply previous experience when designing and developing new technologies
- Involved with design reviews, systems testing and data modeling on complex projects

Requirements: Requirements Include:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 10-15 years or equivalent experience in a technical capacity
- 8-10 years with Perl, mod-Perl and Object oriented development
- Previous experience in Java, Python and related open source languages is a plus
- Experience with LAMP development environments
- RDBMS experience (MySQL a plus)
- Hands on experience with Service Oriented Architecture is a plus
- Attention to detail, edge cases
- Effective communication skills
