Description: The Senior Analyst - Transaction and Property Taxes is primarily responsible for the company's state and local sales and use tax and Canadian GST and PST compliance function, completion of all related tax returns, and handling of notices and audits. The Senior Analyst will also assist in the area of Personal Property Taxes and Business Licenses including audits, and will perform tax research as assigned. Key Job Elements:
- Prepare and/or supervise preparation of all state, local, and Canadian tax returns, reports; review returns and reports prepared by junior staff; manage tax compliance calendar and ensure timely and accurate satisfaction of all corporate transaction tax compliance obligations. Perform research to support and document tax positions taken on returns. Monitor impact of changes in tax law on the company's compliance obligations
- Assist with transaction tax and personal property tax audits, including interacting with the revenue agents, ensuring timely and accurate responses to all requests for information, development and documentation of tax technical positions, resolving disputes, and bringing audits to efficient and favorable conclusions. Ensure timely and accurate response to all tax notices
- Perform tax accounting duties as assigned to assist in preparation of monthly transaction tax returns, yearly personal property tax renditions, and business license returns. Assist in reconciling and maintaining tax general ledger accounts. Assist in maintaining sound internal control environment in compliance with applicable laws and company policies

Requirements: Requirements Include:
- 5+ years of tax experience in a national or regional accounting firm or corporate environment, including transaction and property tax returns and multi-state tax compliance
- BS in Accounting or Finance is preferred, however equivalent experience may be considered
- Intermediate knowledge of multi-state transaction and property tax laws
- Familiarity with Lawson and/or Sabrix software is desirable
