Description: Our client is seeking a Network Analyst. This person must have flexibility to support 24X7 operations.
The responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Assist with the architecture, evaluating products and implementing new technology in the network
- Maintain multiple vendor data products through documentation test plans, project plans, maintenance schedules, etc. Establish and document standards, policies and procedures
- Interface with customers, executives and business users
- Performance of complex network traffic analysis
- Research/assessment of available network technologies to solve business initiatives and challenges
- Performance of all duties associated with Level 2 call management to include on-call rotation
- Prepare documents for new technology or changes to the network infrastructure
- General understanding of data center layout, power requirements and associated environmental controls (UPS, generator, cooling, etc.)

Requirements: The skills, experience, and education required for this position include the following:
- 6+ years of experience as a Network Analyst with strong technical knowledge in the area of networking, server administration, network monitoring and capacity planning
- In-depth knowledge of the seven layers within the OSI model and detailed familiarity with industry protocols
- Extensive experience with IP addressing to include subnetting, route aggregation and BGP route maps
- Experience in router, switch and fault-tolerant redundant environments, configuration, troubleshooting and hardware maintenance
- Extensive knowledge in the area of technical security for the network and server area
- Experience working with service providers testing and troubleshooting, Ethernet, WAN, VPN and Internet connectivity
- Experience in the area of infrastructure to support an eCommerce environment
- Strong Active Directory and Microsoft Server operating systems
- Extensive hardware knowledge with the following products. Cisco, F5, EMC, VMware and Dell
- Solid understanding of DNS, SNMP and other internet associated protocols
- Solid understanding of WAN and LAN protocols (VRRP, Spanning Tree, Ethernet, VLAN and HSRP)
- Solid understanding of EMC storage products
- Solid understanding of VMWare
- CISCO (PIX, ASA, 3750)
- Solid understanding of internal and external DNS
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
