Description:  Our client is seeking a Programmer Analyst II. Candidates must be fully authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. This full time position is 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. This is a contract to permanent position. The salary range is $60K - 85K. In this position, you will be instrumental in developing and administering the functional aspects of HP's Project and Portfolio (PPM) tool. Additionally, you will lead the project team system ensuring that it maximizes team performance and portfolio management. The responsibilities of this position include the following:
  • Identify performance, process and engagement opportunities
  • Deliver learning, communication and data management solutions that develop, support and inspire those participating in cross-functional project teams
  • Integrate with the Application Life Cycle team to support and deliver software products
  • Provide second and third-tier support for various business customers
Ensure successful PPM installation, configuration and upgrades including:
  • Identify key requirements and gaps
  • Communicate all project related issues and project status
  • Improve processes within the Project Management Office organization
  • Report and Portlet Configuration both out of box and custom
  • Develop functional designs
Requirements:  The skills, experience, and education required for this position include the following:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required
  • 5+ years development experience of the Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) tool including Kitana, ITG, HP - PPM
  • 1+ years experience with full lifecycle software development processes and methods such as RUP and/or Agile is preferred
  • 1+ years experience providing time estimates and scheduling
  • Proficient with Governance tools
  • Previous database experience including Oracle and SQL server (T-SQL)
  • Proficient in development languages, such as C#, VB.Net, ASP.NET, C, PHP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate individuals
  • Ability to prioritize duties, is well organized and self-directed
