| Description: Technology is our client's product to include speed to market, commitment to excellence, creativity, and entrepreneur functions (all vital to their success). The right person will be responsible for a spectrum of assignments from working on new products, system and product enhancements, and systems architecture to bug fixes.
The 'Right Person' will be a skilled technologists with Java 1.5 and 1.6 and SQL (query optimization). Future assignments may include managing a group of local developers. The nature of the service requires skill and experience in working on real-time, high volume, highly available web systems.
Although our client is publicly traded, they are a small organization where you will have exposure to the most senior managers within technology and the company. The environment is entrepreneurial in nature, and we reward results, creativity, and initiative. They deliver four major releases a year which require occasional long hours and/or weekend hours; however, our employees often work from home when working these extended hours. Requirements: Lead Java Development Qualifications:
- CS Degree
- Self starter
- Oracle skills (stored procedures and triggers)
- Ready to take that next step in to a leadership position
- Experience working with a remote manager
- Strong technical skills as well as the leadership characteristics required to guide others from a technical and managerial perspective
