Description: Our client is seeking a Cisco Engineer. Kforce has the following contract opportunity based out of Lovington, NM and El Paso, TX.
Network Primary Duties:
- Configure network switches on a bench and Customer Site
- Loading of the switches
- Rack and stack
- Connect and troubleshoot at the schools

Requirements: Candidates will need to have strong Cisco experience and have a CCNP or CCIE. Applicants should have extensive knowledge in Routing/Switching Configuration and Troubleshooting, Cisco IOS Security, Cisco Wireless Configuration, Troubleshooting, and Security. In addition, candidates should have experience in doing an actual network cut-over. Candidates must have an understanding of deployment issues such as fiber connectivity, cabling issues, hardware failures, etc.
List of technologies that candidates should know:
- Cisco 6500, 3560, 2960, and 1242 IOS interface experience
- VLAN Configuration / Troubleshooting
- VTP Configuration / Troubleshooting
- Spanning-tree Troubleshooting
- Trunk Configuration
- IP Addressing / Subnetting
- SNMP configuration
- AAA TACACS Troubleshooting
- Wireless deployment experience
- MLS QoS Configuration
Server Knowledge:
- Microsoft Server Certifications are preferred
- Active Directory Design and Management
- Understanding and working knowledge of SAN
Communication:
- Excellent communication skills, written, and verbal
- Excellent presentation skills as they might be used to train the customer
