Description: Our client is seeking an Application Analyst with experience implementing and providing tier 2 support for new Practice Management and EMR systems. The organization is in the process of rolling out a new practice management and EMR product. This individual will work with the Senior Project Manager to create implementation rollout schedules, work with physicians and work groups to accomplish the EMR implementation and then provide tier 2 production support. Candidates must have the ability to analyze and resolve problems quickly and efficiently; assist in system-wide software installation, modification and support; and serve as a contact for the end-users in area of expertise. Candidates must be able to troubleshoot application problems in a timely manner.
This role would also include the following tasks:
- Create model clinic implementation process for rolling out new EMR product; define, develop, analyze requirements and then plan, implement and configure EMR system
- Act as a liaison between the support organization and each clinic, addressing individual clinic needs and customization
- Work with the senior LAN/WAN Engineer to prepare patches and upgrades for the EMR system
- Monitor user issues and enhancement requests and escalate to vendor. Participate in regular vendor user groups and ongoing training
- Work with clinical staff to develop assessment and charting templates

Requirements: The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include (items are required unless noted otherwise):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience
- At least two years of NextGen experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to work irregular work hours as needed and participate in the department on-call rotation
- Previous experience implementing and supporting practice management and electronic medical records systems
