Description: This person oversees the accuracy of time keeping and payroll processing for growing, multi-site company with 25,000 employees. This person will manage the staff responsible for processing weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payrolls.
The responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Implement, review, and refine processes to ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately
- Be responsible for communicating with all levels of management to train staff and resolve issues as they arise
- Be responsible for ensuring garnishments are properly deducted and paid to the appropriate entity
- Continuous training of payroll staff
- Develop and maintain payroll tracking systems as needed
- Must work well with HR, IT, and Accounting to maintain integrity of payroll data
- Assist with quarterly reconciliation between payroll records and Federal and State Reports
- Be responsible for creating ad hoc reports as requested by management
- Make continuous process improvement recommendations to management
- Perform other responsibilities, as assigned
- Manage a staff of 20+ employees

Requirements: The Ideal Candidate:
- Must have previous payroll supervisory experience and the ability to deal with a variety of time feeds and systems
- PeopleSoft payroll experience
- CPP designation is preferred
- Experience in a high-growth, multi-site environment
- Kronos and or Time Force time keeping systems experience is preferred
- Horizon experience is preferred, but not required
- Experience in Health Care is preferred, but not required
- Must be Customer Service focused
- Must be able to train end users and staff on process changes
Minimum Requirements:
- Familiarity with a variety of payroll system software and timekeeping software, specifically PeopleSoft
- Very detail oriented
- Strong Excel / Access skills
- High integrity, confidentiality, and discretion
- Team player with excellent people and communication skills; professional demeanor
