Kforce Kids' STEM at Home Program Named Best Virtual Event


Tampa, FL- June 11, 2021- Kforce’s Kids’ STEM at Home program was recognized as the Best Virtual Event of 2020 by the American Marketing Association for its meaningful impact on students across the nation.

"At Kforce, we want to empower people through knowledge sharing,” said Kforce Chief Marketing Officer Andrew Thomas. "By educating our youth about STEM job opportunities, we can provide young innovators the tools and opportunities they will need to succeed later in life." 

Kforce pivoted to offer a new, virtual STEM experience when the coronavirus pandemic postponed in-person event. The solutions firm teamed up with world-class community partners (including Microsoft, Jabil, Code Ninjas, Girls Scouts and more) as well as STEM experts (such as NASA Flight Director Mary Lawrence and AMS Certified Meteorologist Julie Phillips) to inspire the next generation of innovators, creators, and experts. Kforce is passionate about encouraging youth to pursue these growing fields to ensure economic competition and sustainable development.

Students of all ages tuned in weekly for four virtual, contactless sessions, each focused on science, technology, engineering or math. The virtual environment allowed Kforce to connect with far more students and homes than previously possible in person. More than 880 unique families registered a total of 1,060 kids. The first 300 people that registered for the event received free swag boxes with a STEM Fair branded T-Shirt, 3-4 partner-branded swag items as well as a detailed schedule and instructions for parents to tune-in to the live STEM sessions.
