Kforce headquarters at Midtown named 2022 Best Office Project by NAIOP Tampa Bay

This recognition supports the firm’s vision of adaptability and innovation in the hybrid world.

TAMPA, FL (March 22, 2023) Kforce’s new headquarters at Midtown Tampa was honored as a 2022 Best Office Project by the National Association for Industrial Office Parks (NAIOP).

The real-estate association celebrates top-performing people, companies and projects. The “Best of the Best” ceremony on March 9 recognized outstanding contributions to the commercial real-estate industry in Tampa Bay in the last year.

“This award reinforces that our company is leading the way in reimagining where and how work is performed,” Kforce President and CEO Joe Liberatore said. “Our partners and internal teams created a cutting-edge, technology-enhanced headquarters that will elevate our firm in this new world of work.”

The NAIOP is the leading organization for developers, owners and investors in office, industrial, retail and mixed-use real estate. The Best Office Project award went to the project team behind the construction of the Kforce Midtown Tampa office: owner/developer Highwoods Properties and The Bromley Companies; landlord brokers Lauren Coup & Brad Heeter of Highwoods Properties; tenant broker Bill Reeves of Colliers; architecture firm AiC Architecture; engineering firm Diamondback Engineering; and general contractor Interstruct.

This is the second award the team has won. Kforce’s Midtown headquarters was also honored as a top real-estate deal by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

Kforce opened its hybrid headquarters in November 2022. The move came one year after the company sold its 130,000 square-foot traditional office space in Ybor in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Midtown office was designed for the future of work and the firm’s new office-occasional model. Employees are encouraged to visit headquarters for collaboration, team building and training. The layout supports this, with a focus on communal spaces and technology. There are no cubicles or assigned desks. Instead, employees use hotel desks, collaborative spaces and team zones. Technology such as Microsoft Surface Hubs allow leaders to run hybrid meetings and connect with both remote and in-person employees.

Kforcers are encouraged to think of the entire Midtown campus as their office, whether that’s meeting a client for lunch at Bella Brava or getting to know a new candidate over coffee at Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company. Midtown’s two hotels and close proximity to Tampa International Airport make the national headquarters easily accessible to visiting colleagues and customers.
