Tampa, FL – November 7, 2018 – Kforce, a professional staffing services and solutions firm, announced its inaugural Great Place to Gig℠ award today. Winning companies represent clients who earned top ratings from its Kforce consultants on their experience throughout assignment.
The Kforce Great Place to Gig℠ award celebrates organizations that create a work environment where independent professionals feel that they were treated well during their time there.
This data comes from over 18,000 surveys completed by Kforce consultants while working at more than 2,500 companies last year. The 226 companies recognized on this elite list are a blend of small, medium and Fortune 500 firms throughout the healthcare, financial services, technology, communications and other industries.

In today’s labor market unemployment is at 3.7%, the lowest it has been since 1969, increasing competition for top talent. With about 1 in 10 workers relying on contracting for their primary income, this population can help fill that gap. If companies welcome and nurture those gig professionals, who largely represent specialized, knowledge-intensive occupations, they will win the war on talent.
List Methodology
In partnership with Inavero, Kforce collects survey data from its consultants throughout their assignment. Using data from January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017, over 18,000 consultant responses regarding more than 2,500 companies were analyzed. Award-winning clients met a minimum number of respondents and had at least 80% positive responses to the question regarding client experience, placing them in the top 10% of all firms surveyed.
